The following awards are officially recognized by The STF31 MACO. These awards recognize STF31 MACO Operators and Units for outstanding and significant duty, deeds, accomplishments, and achievements.
All STF31 MACO awards belong to one of three categories: Achievement, Service and Training. In order of precedence, all Achievement Ribbons are worn ahead of all Service Ribbons, which are worn ahead of all Training Ribbons.

 | First Class – Black Star Device – Awarded to Operators that completes a STF31 SFA Doctorate of Special Operations, STF31 SFA Doctorate of Intelligence Operations, and a STF31 SFA Doctorate in Military Studies. Second Class – White Star Device – Awarded to Operators that completes a STF31 SFA Doctorate of Special Operations, STF31 SFA Doctorate of Intelligence Operations, and at least STF31 SFA Masters in Military Studies. |

 | Note: ALL STF31 SFA Doctorates must each be the single major doctorate or masters and NOT a duel degree. |
 | DAYSTROM ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARD |
 | The Daystrom Academic Excellence Award is awarded, automatically, to any Operator who completes 1000 courses from the STF31 SFA. This award is also issued to those Operators who completes the STF31 MACO Grade 6 Certification and those Operators who complete the STF31 MACO Grade 10 Certification. An Operator does not have to earn this award in any particular order. Completion of any of the above listed criteria earns the first award etc. |

 | This award is awarded to Operators that have completed all additional MOS courses from the STF31 Starfleet Academy with a grade of Distinction in each sub-course. Operator must have completed the STF31 MACO Qualification Course prior to being awarded. Awarded on an as needed basis. |

 | The Major Hayes Award is awarded to STF31 MACOs Operators who completes a specific MACO Grade Certification. |
 | Gold M – Completed MACO Grade 10 Silver M – Completed MACO Grade 7 Bronze M – Completed MACO Grade 4 |

 | NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICER ADVANCE TRAINING RIBBON |
 | The STF31 MACO Chief Petty Officer Award is only award to Enlisted Operators who completes all of the courses listed in the STF31 MACO NCO Academy. The Operator must be an NCO at the time of qualifying for this award. Must have completed the STF31 MACO Qualification Course. Awarded on an as needed basis. |
 | MACO Sergeant Major Course – Gold 3 Pointed Star MACO 1SG Course – Silver 3 Pointed Star MACO Advance NCO Course – Bronze 3 Pointed Star MACO Basic NCO Course – Copper 3 Pointed Star MACO Leader’s Course – Black 3 Pointed Star |

 | JAMES KIRK LEADERSHIP AWARD |
 | The STF31 MACO Kirk Leadership Award is awarded to any Operator who completes a STF31 SFA Doctorate in Command Studies. Awarded on an as needed basis. |

 | STARFLEET MEDICAL TRAINING CITATION |
 | The Starfleet Medical Training Citation is awarded, automatically, to any Operator who completes Medical Certification courses from a certified instructor /Institution (Red Cross, College, Nursing, Medical School etc.) Awarded on an as needed basis. |
 | 1st Class – Black Star- Certification as a Medical Doctor 2nd Class – White Star – Certification as an RN/NP/PA 3rd Class – Blue Star – Certification as EMT/LPN/Medic 4th Class – Red Star – Current CPR Certified/Nurse’s Aide/Combat Life Saver |
