The following awards are officially recognized by The STF31 MACO. These awards recognize STF31 MACO Operators and Units for outstanding and significant duty, deeds, accomplishments, and achievements.
All STF31 MACO awards belong to one of three categories: Achievement, Service and Training. In order of precedence, all Achievement Ribbons are worn ahead of all Service Ribbons, which are worn ahead of all Training Ribbons.
ADMIRAL MAXWELL FORREST AWARD | |
This award is for the Service in the Command staff of STF31 MACO for a minimum of 1 year. If the staff member moves up to a higher position then they are eligible to wear the previous position ribbon until the staff member completes the 1 year requirement for the next Ribbon. If the Staff member moves out all together from the Staff or takes a lower position, the Staff member is eligible to continue the highest class ribbon earned. Awarded on an as needed basis. | |

MISSION LEADER AWARD | |
This is awarded to Team Leaders and Senior Team Leaders that have led a bona fide mission that has been sanctioned by the STF31 MACO Director. A Planning / preparation form for this mission has to be reviewed / approved by the STF31 MACO Director. Must be at least be certified as a Grade 6. Awarded on an as needed basis. | |

SPECIAL PROJECTS AWARD | |
This award is awarded to an Operator who has shown exceptional service to the team/ship by completing a special project (s). Projects has to be approved by STF31 MACO Command prior to start of the project. Awarded on an as needed basis. Must be at least be certified as a Grade 1. Awarded on an as needed basis. | |

FIVE MISSION AWARD | |
This award is awarded to any Operator that is associated with five or more missions/tasks. Associated indicates planning stages and/or participation in the actual mission approved by STF31 MACO Command prior to the mission start. Must be at least be certified as a Grade 2. Awarded on an as needed basis. | |

STF31 MACO HONOR GUARD AWARD | |
This award is given to any Operator who serves as a member of a Color/Honor Guard at a regional or STARFLEET function representing STF31 MACO and wearing an authorized STF31 MACO uniform. Awarded on an as needed basis. | |

GUARDIAN AWARD | |
Award to an Operator who has undertaken extreme or lengthy travel on behalf of the STF31 MACO. The two important criteria are “extreme or lengthy” and “on behalf of the STF31 MACO.” The former requires a judgement call by the Sector Commander (Director STF31 MACO if the Sector Commander Position is vacant). A possible standard might be 6 hours travel time, for example. The latter is more exact: Taking a long road trip to attend a convention with the other members of your chapter, for example, does not qualify. Doing so because you are going to be presenting a class or demonstration (as an STF31 MACO Operator) would qualify. Awarded on an as needed basis. | |

STF31 MACO COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD | |
Awarded to Operators of the STF31 MACO who perform outstanding volunteer community service of a direct, and consequential nature. Volunteer service must be at least 50 hours or more and must have been reported in the MCO MRR. A list of hours and what the Operator did must accompany the request form. To qualify for the Community Service Award an Operators volunteer service must meet the below requirements: | |

Awarded at the completion of 3-50 years of service while assigned to the STF31 MACO. Service award based on 1 August 2013. Awarded on an as needed basis. | |

STF31 MACO ANNUAL MUSTER AWARD | |
This award is given once per year to any Operator who physically attends or attends virtually a Starfleet Task Force 31 MACO Muster. Awarded annually. | |

STF31 MACO GROUP ANNUAL MUSTER AWARD | |
This award is given once per year to any Operator who physically attends or attends virtually a Starfleet Task Force 31 MACO Group Muster. The muster must be pre-approved prior to the muster by the STF31 MACO Commander for it to be authorized. Awarded annually. | |

AMBASSADOR SAREK SERVICE AWARD | |
Award to any Operator for participation in events with other Science Fiction oriented fan organizations, to include other Star Trek-related fan organizations other than Starfleet Task Force 31. This may be co-Operator or competitive and must be done while obviously participating as a STF31 MACO Operator. Participation as an Operator can be shown by wearing a STF31 MACO uniform, a unit cap or shirt, or by obviously being associated with others who are wearing an STF31 MACO uniform. Operators who are also members of the same fan organization are not eligible. Awarded on an as needed basis. | |

UNITED FEDERATION OF PLANETS AWARD | |
Awarded to any Operator for participation at a Starfleet Task Force 31 function, such as the annual Starfleet Task Force 31 Conference or a Sector Summit. The key word here is participation, not attendance. The Operator must have done more than simply attend (i.e., served on a panel, worked on the Security detail, etc.) Likewise, the Operator must have attended as a STF31 MACO Operator for the entire time. Awarded on an as needed basis. | |

DECKER ORDER OF MERIT | |
Awarded to any Operator who has served in their nation’s armed forces and credited for participation in a designated combat zone. | |

APRIL ORDER OF MERIT | |
Awarded to any Operator who honorably completed at least one enlistment tour of duty or 3 consecutive years as an Officer. | |

Awarded to any Operator who has successfully served in and completed at least 3 consecutive years in any of the first line responder fields: Police, Fire, and Medical Services. | |
